March 12, 2020 — Focused Post Acute Care Partners is a Texas-based skilled nursing care company with 31 communities largely in rural and small towns in east and west Texas and along the Gulf Coast.

Ensuring residents are cared for in a safe and healthy environment is our greatest concern. Currently, we have no reported cases of Coronavirus in any of our communities.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have recommended a variety of steps that we are implementing to help reduce the potential for the virus to enter our buildings. To practice vigilance in protecting our residents as well as our team members caring for them and our family visitors, Focused Care has elected to temporarily request that family members and friends do not visit our communities. Out of an abundance of caution, we are restricting onsite community visits to only “essential” visitors.

We understand that connecting with family members is incredibly important, and there are a variety of other ways we ask family to consider connecting with residents. These may include telephone, email, text, or through Skype or Facebook. If you believe a visit with a loved one is “essential” and would like to make special arrangements, please contact the Community Executive Director to make an appointment to visit.

All of our communities are following the recommendations of the CDC on preventive steps, including strict handwashing procedures, and in many circumstances, wearing gowns and gloves when interacting with residents who are sick. In addition, we are also closely monitoring CDC recommendations as they are updated.

We will notify you if any residents or staff are diagnosed with COVID-19.

Finally, our senior leadership is in regular contact with the local and state health departments and are following their guidance. We remain focused on patient-centered care and the health of our team members and the residents in whose care we are trusted.
