Lori is one of the founding partners and the Chief Executive Officer of Focused Post Acute Care Partners (FPACP), assuming the role in January 2025 after serving as Chief Operating Officer since 2020.

Lori’s leadership has been defined by her ability to drive results in complex, high-touch environments. As COO, she played a pivotal role in steering FPACP through the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring the safety of residents, the stability of jobs, and the resilience of a people-driven organization at a time when clinical staff were scarce. Her strategic approach to operations has sustained a culture of excellence, balancing financial strength with an unwavering commitment to those FPACP serves.

With more than 25 years of leadership experience in various industries including healthcare, staffing, manufacturing, technology, and consumer products operating within multi-state and multi-facilities; Lori has honed her ability to align people, processes, and technology to deliver meaningful outcomes. She has built a reputation for creating high-touch environments supported by innovative high-tech solutions—an approach that fosters integration rather than isolation within the diverse communities FPACP touches.

At the heart of her leadership philosophy is a relentless focus on protecting and preserving opportunities—not just for residents, but for the thousands of employees, vendors, and families connected to FPACP. She leads with purpose, ensuring that care is not just delivered but truly felt.

Shawn Conley

Chief Financial Officer and Partner

Shawn’s healthcare experience began on the ground floor 19 years ago as CFO for a startup home health company and from there he has assisted in building several home health and skilled nursing companies from acquisitions and construction to thriving healthcare services businesses with solid financial health.

As CFO for Focused Post-Acute Care Partners, Shawn manages the construction and acquisition aspects of the business as well as debt and revenue growth.

What I appreciate about overseeing the financial aspect of Focused Care is that an important share of revenue is reinvested in caring for seniors and the people who have chosen the profession of long term care delivery. We cannot expect excellence in the care we provide if we don’t give back to our buildings, our team members and the residents we care for.”

Becky Anderson, BA, RN

Chief Clinical Officer

Becky brings more than 22 years of clinical and administrative experience in long-term care to Focused Post Acute Care Partners.

She began her career in healthcare as a Nurse’s Aide while completing a Bachelor of Arts in Nursing at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Following her move to Texas, she served in several roles on the provider side, including MDS Coordinator, Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, and Regional Nurse Consultant. Becky also spent 9 years on the regulatory side with the Texas Department of Health and Human Services as a nurse surveyor and later as a Program Manager overseeing a team of surveyors.

Before joining Focused Care, she served as the Director of Clinical Services for a start-up long-term care company with 11 facilities in the state of Texas.

Mark McKenzie, LNFA

Founder and Managing Partner

Born and raised in North Richland Hills, Texas, Mark’s desire to be a part of what makes Texas great started at a young age.

It was a job he took while working on his graduate degree in education at Tarleton State University that set the course Mark would navigate for the next 25 years. Working as nursing assistant position at Mulberry Manor, turned out to be far more challenging than obtaining a master’s degree. Even as he worked toward academic achievement in another area of study,  the experience of providing care to elderly residents made an indelible impression and he credits that first-hand knowledge with guiding his career choice, leadership style and eventual ownership of skilled nursing care facilities in Texas.

Since that nursing assistant position, Mark has been successful at every level of leadership from Facility Administrator to Regional Vice-President and President and CEO for companies in Texas’ long term care sector.

Bridging from leading a company to owning a company was a long-held objective of Mark’s as he saw opportunity in smaller rural communities often not afforded the resources of long term care facilities in metropolitan locations.

Mark has held leadership roles in the Texas Heatlh Care Association, serves on the Tarleton Foundation at his university alma mater and has been a member of key advocacy committees tasked with providing feedback to the Texas State Legislature on industry issues.

Satisfied with not being the biggest long term care company in Texas, Focused Care is determined to be the best.
