A Message From Focused Care's CEO

Lori Strubbe, CEO

CEO Message: February 2025

Commitment is a Drive for Excellence and Efficiency

“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.”

— Martin Luther King, Jr.

I love this quote by Dr. King. It’s true. Faith takes courage, soulfulness and a mindset that is open to the best possibilities.

As we continue our journey in 2025, we redefine what commitment means for us at Focused Care – a promise to deliver high-quality patient care while relentlessly pursuing efficiency. That balance that drives every decision and every action in our organization.

Efficiency isn’t just about streamlining operations; it’s about being technology-driven and fostering continuity among our systems, processes, and daily practices. By leveraging innovative technology, we’re breaking down silos and ensuring that every team member has access to real-time, actionable information—allowing us to bridge any gaps in each vital component of our care model.

Success relies on three fundamental components: people, process, and technology. We are in a people business. This truth is consistently reflected in the four essential legs of our stool:

  • Our Internal Team: Your expertise, dedication, and collaborative spirit form the backbone of our operations.
  • Our Residents and Their Families: The well-being and trust of those we serve are inspired by every improvement we make.
  • Our Referral Sources: Our network of medical directors, physicians, and hospitals plays a critical role in ensuring a continuum of quality care.
  • Our Community Partners and Volunteers: Your passion and support enhance our ability to deliver compassionate care every day.

Every part of our system must work in harmony, so every partner feels the strength of our unified purpose.

Remember, part of our commitment is to help our patients and residents live meaningful lives—to guide them along a path of safety, security, comfort, and convenience. Beyond our learned skills; it requires our innate curiosity to not only:

  • Treat the obvious illness but also to seek out underlying symptoms
  • Look beyond prescribed treatments
  • Define root causes and;
  • Solve those problems

Your curiosity drives better outcomes, a higher quality of life, and, when documented well, additional revenue. Everyone in the equation wins.

Will you join me in seizing this moment to transform patient care, ensuring every life counts and every interaction becomes a moment of truth?

I look forward to advancing this vision together, building on our shared values, and embracing the innovations that will carry us into a brighter, more connected future.

Thank you for your ongoing dedication and trust in this journey.
